Looking Good

Just got back from my first official day of recording for the upcoming project. Overal it was a success but nothing recorded will be able to be used due to poor lighting. My camera man and I didn't meet up until about 9:00 at nite and by then the sun was down. We stopped at Dairy Queen (which had people and lights) and asked a group if they wanted to see some magic. They turned us down, but we went to the back and got a group pretty quickly. This group lead to another group and I had a good 8-10 people watching in waves basically.

Despite nothing being recorded really working out good enough to make clips it was a success because of the fact that I said I would record something today and I did record something. Not just something but the entire routine that I set out to do with very little compromises. The finale didn't go the way I had originally planned. Today was a great warm-up day and taught me a few things. It was also nice to give my new camera man a bit of a warm up and also let myself know that I can actually do this.

The next scheduled film date is Thursday, I hope to record for much of the day in order to get back on schedule. Right now I'm three days behind and it's cutting in to my second week. If all goes well Thursday I will "let the cat out of the bag"
