Why did I do this exactly? Well the main reason was just that I truly felt it would be a very fun and strange thing to see. I very much enjoy entertaining people and I knew that this would have to make some people laugh. A generally more selfish reason was to promote my website ( www.TheUsedMagician.com ), but this is because I really want to be a magician as a career. I feel that everyone should have a job that they enjoy and I would really enjoy this one. Again, mostly because I love entertaining people.
Other reasons range from just getting outside and walking around to just doing the most rediculous thing I could possibly think of. I pretty much just said I was going to do it and then didn't give myself enough time to turn back on it. This was also a test in a way. I get shy in situations at times and I wanted to try to improve that. Grant it, I'm not as shy getting into a character, but that's exaclty what I wanted. I am trying to build a magician "character" that I can get into so that I am not as much effected by stage fright, etc.
So this was basically a test in character development. "How would a construction cone act?!" Something like that! I did ask myself that question once, but didn't really answer it. I did a few fun side projects, like walking down the sidewalk and 'noticing' that the cones happened to be dressed the same as me! I also did another on the way back where I walked up to a cone and "shook it's hand" as if I were a friend of it. Like a fellow cone.
