Well this Farmer's Market went over greatly. The day started with me walking up to the Market and talking to the people giving out free hot chocolate. They asked me if I was one of the vendors and I said that I was selling original inventions. I offered to demonstrate my way of stopping pick pockets. I then showed them four forks sticking out of my back pocket. After they were finished laughing I told them that they were actually self bending forks and began to show them one bending. To combat their confused looks I finally let them know that I am a magician and they offered to announce me over their speaker system. I did the silverware bending routine to three groups, demonstrated that cards can't tell the difference between doing something and pretending to do something, and also named a card a kid was thinking of - along with his first initial and his brother's name.
The rest of the week was "magic school" practice and I made some more progress with the Rubik's Cube. I got a solve in 3:01 earlier today and have little trouble solving it any more. I just need to work more on speed and finding a few more shortcuts in some of the ways that I solve it with.
My family drew for secret Santa yesterday as well.
