I've been trying to pick up a new skill as of late. I bought a Rubik's Cube while I was in Chicago and have been practicing this last week on solving it. I'm doing pretty well for myself I guess. I'm not solving it in under a minute yet, but I'm hoping to soon have a good speed solving time. While I was out with my friends Monday nite I was challenged by our waitress to solve it. I actually had just finished solving it and went to the bathroom, only to return with the cube now messed up again. About twenty minutes later my friends got free drinks because I had indeed solved it. I also performed the two card monte to another waitress.
I just got an email earlier asking if I was going to the Holiday Farmer's Market on November 18th and the answer is yes. The market is going to have a face painter, a clown, and myself, among other things. It runs from 11 am to 2 pm at the parking lot in front of the roller rink on Southfield just off of Fort Street in Lincoln Park.
I did a number of cool new effects while eating with another group of friends at the Sbarro in the mall. We were talking about a paranormalist from Criss Angel's show "Phenomenon" and the strange performance he gave. I did a similarly strange performance by stopping my heart and having my friend look at a card in the deck and remember it. Then after waving my hands he was able to deal the entire deck onto the table without finding his card. His card was revealed to still be in the box. Of course, without me touching the cards or the box.. how cool is that!?

in his dreams he saw a slush in a week, snow in the month, and a brown darkness that covered out all light. Good tidings in his friend's relationship and an overshadowing of past events.
